USS Cowpens – Plank Owner plaque 
The USS Cowpens (CG 63) is the seventeenth of twenty seven Ticonderoga (CG 47) class guided missile cruiser. It’s a multi-mission surface combatant capable of supporting carrier battle groups, amphibious forces, independent operations, or of acting as the flagship of a surface action group. Cowpens’ keel was laid 23 December 1987, she was launched 11 March 1989, and commissioned 9 March 1991 in Charleston, South Carolina. Cowpens is stationed at Naval Base San Diego.
The above wooden plaque measures 10 inches wide, 7 inches tall and nearly 1 1/2 inches thick. It weights about 4 lbs.
