“WAR UNDER The PACIFIC” – Time Life World War II book. An excellent ‘coffee table’ book on the American submarine service in World War II. This large 11-1/2 by 9-1/2 book was published without a dust jacket, instead there is a large black and white photo on the cover, that wraps around to the back of the book. While this is mostly a photo-type book, it has an excellent appendix, listing all the U.S. subs that saw action in the war. Includes many rare photos and a few chapters on Japan’s submarine warfare during the war. 1981 Hardback edition with 208 pages and 150+ black and white photos. One large map and several black and white photos and color illustrations.
