U-BOAT COMMANDER. A Periscope View of the Battle of the Atlantic. By Commander Peter Cremer. Cremer joined the German navy in 1940 and during world war II he commanded three different submarines; U-152, U-333 and U-2519. In 1942, Cremer’s U-333 was rammed while on patrol off the East Coast of America. At the end of the war Cremer was one of Admiral Doenitz’ staff officers. 1982 Hardback edition (Not a Book Club) with dust jacket, jacket is wrapped in clear protective plastic. 244 pages, 33 black and white photos, an index and an impressive 24 page list of all German U-boat casualties (losses) in world war II.
